These will be like their older cousin in about 8 months time but for now they're off to be 'puppy walked' :)

The 2 little black ones are German Shepherds, these little bad boys are Springer pups. Still really young so they're just opening their eyes...

I wanted to bring one home with me

Dude, let her see them, just make sure she dont see any babies...thats when you in trouble...lol

I've seen grown men, who minutes previous have been full of bravado whimper like little girls when German Shepherds appear :)

Very good fingermouse hahaha!

Gorgeous lil things German Shepherd pups. A friend of mine has an 8 year old ex-police dog and it's scary. He advises not to stroke it till it gets to know you!

We have a German Shepard and she is 4. They are amazing dogs very quick to learn (I taught Sasha "speak" in 5days) and very obedient. She has a fantastic temperment which makes them excelent police dogs.

I want to join the police force and be a dog handler stuff the probation service lol

The 2 year probation passes before you know it....I know mine did!!.

I'm applying to be a handler but there's a lot of competition for for it so I'm not going to hold my breath :)

My girlfriends brothers just started at Durham Police and he wasn't looking forward to the 2 years, but after being on the streets of Darlington for 2 weeks he said that he actually quite likes it as theres never a dull day.

He said that even after 2 years he might just stay as a normal cop (not sure what the correct term is, but just not go off into any speciality)

When you finish probation you stay put pretty much. Where I am chances of getting into any specialist role with only 2 years service is VERy unlikely.

I work on a response shift and love it but I'm getting tired of going to domestic after domestic...time for a change. I joined to lock up scrotes....not be a social worker :)

So am I to understand you went there to get another family member or just to look, sorry but I must have missed the point Tom, oh hold on Police dog, hey its 40 degrees here so an excuse

Also isnt it crappy that there's hundreds if not thousands of dogs/puppies wanting homes in sanctuaries that are lovable & great as a family member but we go out & pay hundreds for another dog, for me paying for these animals is pretty sad of this world, its a family member not a fashion accessory.

Makes my blood boil seeing dogs/cats on streets with no home & people leave there dogs on sides of road then drive of, they do this in Italy when they have to go on holiday, some complete feckers dont want the hassle of kennels & cost so they ditch there dog whilst driving to holiday location, absolutely fecking disgusting & I would quite easily smack the ********* in the mouth for it & spend night in cells for it.

Its also amazing how the goverment spend billions on war but feck all to the RSPCA & dont have tighter animal control that requires chips for every single animal in a home.

Just for clarification, these are work dogs, bred by work to get trained up and issued to handlers :)

I went up there as its something I'm looking at doing (becoming a handler) so it was to go and meet some of the people (and dogs!) at our kennels.
They also take rescue dogs and train them up for us to use. A few of our dogs have been taken in from people who cant look after them properly or have been abandoned. We also sell the dogs to other forces within the UK and all over the world....one recently went somewhere in europe for 90,000 euros!!!. Properly trained up in all sorts of things, CSI, bomb dogs, drug dogs, cash dogs etc etc. You can train them to sniff out oxo cubes if you want....just name your substance and train them on it :)

We had cats etc when I was a kid but they were all rescue cats. I too dont agree with lining breeders pockets when there's a huge amount of animals that need homing as it is. If I was to ever 'buy' a dog (non work related) then it would be by way of a donation at a rescue centre :)

Sadly last time I was at the RSPCA (found a dog when I was on nights and took it in) they were stacked out with dogs they couldnt re-home :(

NHN , i don't think anyone thought for one second they were anything but Toms work dogs.

I completely agree with you, tighter controls should be instigated. I have 4 dogs myself 3 of which were rescued in one form or another, it's only the GSD i paid for, as i wanted her from a puppy to train.

Oh my God they are so sweet.I love puppies. They are very lovely.I'm feeling like picking them to my hands.
