S3 Alarm

Does the 2009 spec S3 have lights in the car which flash when the alarm is activated?

Yes, at the front of the dash.

Its not very bright though, I might chnage mine to something brighter. I changed the one on my beetle to a blue LED and it was silly bright at night, the neighbours even mentioned it!!

I think it's a bit of an irrelevance to be honest. As if anyone pays attention to the little LED?! It's obvious the car has a factory fitted alarm and immobiliser.
