Just baught a a4 avant. Its a 2003 53 1.8T Quattro with twin exit exhaust. The seller said it was the 190bhp version, but now looking the papers, on an audi import paper its says power 125kW / 5700 1/min. So does that mean its the 169bhp version? but did they make this with twin exit exhaust (one each side of car) ?

Its a 5 gear triptronic box. 40k on the clock.

Im a bit confused.

The 190 bhp= a red T on the back..

The 190 bhp= a red T on the back..

Yep, and also the '1.8 TURBO' on the engine cover is red.

The engine code for a 190ps 1.8T is BEX (check the service book) and it will have twin intercoolers (one behind each fog lamp)

All 1.8T's have twin exhausts

Check the sticker on the inside of the spare wheel well. It will have the engine power on it in Kilowatts.
The 1.8's with the red T are the most powerful 140Kw, (190PS, 187 bhp).

1.8T 20v 150 PS (110 kW; 148 bhp) or 163 PS (120 kW;161 bhp)
1.8T 20v 180 PS (132 kW; 178 bhp) or 190 PS (140 kW; 187 bhp)
