Problems with my A3

Hey,

I have a 1997 A3 1.6 sport.

The car has a major problem in that when i am pullng away in first gear it is either juddery or really quick and when driving along (in any gear) the revs can start going up with no extra power being delivered.

I have been looking around and it looks like it is the Lambda sensor. Anyone had the same problems and found it was that?

Check the throttle body. Either give it a good clean or buy a new one. I think its quite problematic on the 1.6
