Good amplifer for sub

Hi,
Anyone know of a good mono/dual channel amplifier I can use to power a 10" sub, which will also fit neatly in the place where the Bose sub currently occupies?

Also, while on the topic, which is better: a Mono amp, or a 2 channel sub in bridged mode?

it really does depend on what sub you have ? and what voice coil configuration the sub has

theres a lot of amps out there but not too many which fit in cubbyholes comfortably and
