Dave_Bayern said:Ess, your comments above are assuming that the turbo always must have the same power available, and that its just distributed idfferent ways. Not so with a remap, especiall with generic ones as the engine will respond to different maps different ways.
S3ren said:i was guna have my car done soon now i'm rearly confused but does it mean that cc would be better on the life of say the clutch and haldex if its smoother and a revo map would alot harsher. cause i've just had a new clutch and flywheel done even with standard power it still smells but i've only done about 1500 miles on it so far.

225 BHP ish?
Seems a tad high...maybe not...assuming 50 BHP ish lost through the tranny.
Lets say for the purposes of debate that the 225 BHP is at the wheels...so approx 275 @ crank.
Mine was making about the same - 275 @ crank.
so same outright power...but with a big torque spike...
As below;
Anyone got a 'smooth' graph?
Ess_Three said:...which if you take the curves as gospel (I wouldn't...the Awesone curve makes little sense torque wise...only 228 lb-ft out of a remapped S3?) which means my S3 has 100 lb-ft more than yours jojo (I can't see it somehow!)
Anyway...if mine was making 214 BHP ATW and jojos 207 BHP ATW(average...ish) but mine had 100 lb-ft more midrange...which would be the faster car?
I think it's easy to answer that...
You get the idea.
Ess_Three said:You have a capped boost delivery, resulting in a reasonably flat torque curve from 2800 to 4500 ish.
