Wireless Carplay

Has anyone successfully installed a wireless adaptor for carplay in the RS3? I don't just want to install an adaptor in the centre armrest as there will be little to no room for wireless charging. Ideally, i'd like to take one of the USB feeds and connect it to that then hide it up under the center console.

Remove centre control controls, drill a hole in the armrest storage compartment, feed usb extension cable through and connect to usb port, hide wireless dongle under the console and replace the controls.

Personally I would not bother as oem wireless charging is so weak you are better off using a cable to keep your phone battery from draining.
