Recently got a friend of mine to plug my car into VCDS software to see if any hidden codes could be pulled from the ECU. All came back clean apart from a failing coolant temp sensor. Done sensor jobs on cars ive owned in the past but i cant for the life of me find where this sensor it located. Its the 2.5tdi AKE engine and just wondering if anyone has any insight and the easiest way to tackle the job.

Open the bonnet.
Look at the engine.
It's just to the right of the left hand bank (looking at front of engine). Just to the left of the high pressure fuel injection pump (looking at front of engine).
It's the easiest coolant temp sensor job I've ever done.
