As in the heading chaps, the steering rack tie boots, how are they secured at the rack end?

Is it a reusable clamp or one of those annoying clamp-on ones that have to be destroyed to remove, and how easy is it to refit the clamp as space is not really at a premium with the rack in place.

Any thoughts chaps.

Depends on what you buy but because there is no real turning on the inner boot you can secure it on both sides with a simple cable tie (aka tie wrap) most sets do come with that special clamp but you can also use those screw clamps. It's not as if they rotate like the driveshafts so need to be as small as possible.

Up to you what you use but for ease the cable tie is the way to go.

Agreed heavy-duty cable tie sounds ideal, just a bit concerned that the apperture is big enough for my large hands to get in there and afix it etc.

I got big hands too I managed to get my hands up there to check the state of mine, and was wearing gloves (waterproof and 2.6 tog insolated, it was cold remember?) so you should be fine.

Zip tie will suffice if tightened up to last possible notch as thats what ive done on mine.
