Hello,
I have an odd situation. Over the past year I've had a few calls from my local Audi dealer letting me know its almost time for a timing belt change but a I'm off work at the moment I'm not doing as much mileage but was made aware its also an age thing, so 5 years or 85k miles depending on what came first.
So I had a call yesterday to book in for my M.O.T which I did and the same time I asked about the timing belt, I wanted a current quote as 8 or 9 months back it was around £900. I was told then that Audi has changed their stance and he age factor no longer comes into it and the mileage has also gone from 85k to 140k ? Does this seem right? I couldn't work it out as the old info is still online.
I've asked for an email confirming it but haven't had anything yet? It just seems odd going from being reminded at leas once a month to it not being that important?
Has anybody else had this? Its a 2017 Audi A3 saloon 2.0 Diesel.
Thanks in advance...
