Hi All,
I’ve moved to a 313ps BiTDi and it’s been nothing but trouble.
a few weeks ago I had limp and got codes for DPF and turbo actuator.
I had the DPF removed and mapped out. The car then only had occasional, and short lived, limp episodes that would clear themselves. I got a new, recommended actuator. For the first 20 miles it drove brilliantly. Pulled hard and was better than ever. Then, limp. Codes then showed 11873 and 11876. Research online has shown that this tends to be the solenoid at the front of the engine. I’ve ordered a replacement and am waiting for it to arrive.
I’m concerned that it might not fix the problem. The main reason I’m concerned is that there was only an intermittent problem until the actuator was replaced at which point it was fine for a short while and now won’t leave limp.
Am I worrying over nothing? Is it that the actuator allowed the car to boost properly and it was the straw that broke the camels back for a failing solenoid?
Also, for anyone who has changed a solenoid, was it easy?
