C7 a6 a7 instrument cluster/mmi software update?

As per my other thread I'm getting various error messages light up on my dash which are related to tpms, brake, abs, etc

However, one symptom that seems to be different to everyone else is that the instrument cluster and mmi screen seem to reset itself whilst driving!? The dash goes completely off and the mmi screen folds away. Everything then comes back up sometimes instantly, sometimes after a few seconds.

Anyway I have found that audi did a software update for the instrument panel to fix a similar issue that app can also cause the other errors.

Anyone know if the instrument cluster update is part of the mmi update and if I can do this myself?

This is not a TSB that I’ve heard of, or has been mentioned in any of the forums I visit, so it could be focused on a very specific VIN range.

It’s definitely worth bringing it to the attention of your dealer, if nothing else than to discount it from the problems you’re having.
