Roof jammed open. Key will not turn

Hi Guys

Just bought a 2006 A4 Cabriolet.

The Hood never worked so I tried to reset it. I folded it down and locked it with the key. BIG PROBLEM ....
The key will not turn to unlock it. It has zero movement in either direction. Windows down and hydraulic pressure released.
What other thing can lock the key?

It's working!

After a week of open-air driving in the Irish rain, I tried the key again and it worked. The roof is now closed. SO - what did I do?

I am not at all sure but two things I did was to hold the roof control button down for 20 seconds rather than 10. I also pressed the right-hand side of the tonneau cover - I read somewhere it might help because there was a button below there. Cannot see any button. But I broke the rule of fault-finding ..... I changed two things at the same time.

Now - just have to discover why the hood does not work under power.
