So getting nagged about the bumpy ride on 21’s, I test drive one before I bought on smaller wheels which seems much more compliant but can’t recall the size.

What’s the best fit for better comfort but still looking good?

I had the 20" wheels on both my 2013 and 2014 SQ5s, ride comfort was excellent.

SUMMER I run 21-inch x 9J ET35 AUDI S5 Rotors with 265/40 R21 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV tyres. I'm running 31/27psi. Superb even wear across the tread front and rear and ZERO complaint with the ride.

WINTER I run 21-inch x 9J ET35 AUDI S5 Rotors with 265/40 R21 Continental TS860S winter tyres. The same 31/27psi. Again, just right for me…

Oh and change the rear ARB (034), makes a huge difference to the ride and dynamics of an SQ5

I run the standard 255/40 21s in summer and 255/45 20s in winter. There's not a huge difference in ride quality TBH.

Ah, that’s the ones on the car I test drove…
Yeah, they were the standard wheels - back in 2013/2014 the 21s were an option. Even back then the roads in Warwickshire were strewn with potholes so big alloys and very low profile tyres wasn't the greatest idea going - the improved ride quality was just a bonus. On 20s you get a much wider range of choice in rubber at replacement time too..

So fitted these and really pleased. Does seem more comfortable over bumps but may be placebo, will see what the wife thinks when next out in it.

I think I actually prefer the design as different to all the other sq5’s around here I see.
Audi Y spoke, same as what the TTS comes with
