I’ve just changed the timing belt on my 1.8T Audi TT MK1. I got the engine to TDC, marked the belt and refitted in reverse.
When rotating the crank by hand, both TDC lines match after two rotations of the engine so all good there, but the crank sounds squeaky/creaky when rotating by hand. It’s no harder to turn than before, just doesn’t sound right to me. Flywheel crank and cam are all at TDC after two full turns, so must be right yeah?
