Hello!

I have a 2009 Audi A3 Quattro with mag ride. Ordered two 1.5ohm resistors to handle the mag delete, and I got one shock off the car but am having a HARD time remove the top bolt.

It looks like there is a "connection" pieces that restricts me from putting on a pass thru ratchet...anybody know how to remove that black piece? Should I just brake it?

Also, the new shock has a flattened end...but I cannot get a 7mm socket on it, and a 8mm is too big. Any ideas?

Grip the shaft in a vice with soft jaws.
I'm not sure how mag ride works, just trying to give an option

I gave up...the mag suspension is definitely different. I purchased a used set of OEM struts from an 06 A3 and bolted them up. Will have to do.
