Twenty five minutes later……..

It’s a Kemora grey saloon vorsprung. (Thought it might have been Daytona)

Asked me what I’d pay

‘the RRP’ I said, cash buyer today.

Oh no we’ve had six enquiries overnight.

We’ve also sold 3 to a company last week, seems a lot of deals like this are being done.

Looks like these car dealers are buying multiple cars at a time from dealers as ‘company’ cars then moving them on after 350 miles.

This is a real p122 take. What is Audi UK doing about this?. Really makes me think, all of us who ordered in August with no build dates, because they have been masked and sold to other companies to hide the dirty/illegal practice.

Theyve sold 6 to RS Cars I was told

His reasoning is they may have to discount several pre reg E-Trons by 5K each, so as a business they rarely get a chance to make this sort of money off a new car.

He also said the RRP is only a guide and doesn’t have to be adhered too.

Once the cars are registered they can sell them at whatever price they want, because it’s no longer a new car.

Welcome to Capitalism lol.

Lets be honest, regardless if morally its wrong, questionable if its illegal tbh, but if you were in there shoes & someone would pay 10k extra for your car, I think we know what most people would do, personally I wouldn't pay 72k for an rs3, even if I did have it lol.

My dealer told me that they were doing sweeps and any customers or dealerships with multiple RS3’s on order were being contacted to figure out why and have the multiples cancelled wherever possible.

He said they had a cancelled or duplicated order for a customer (can’t remember which one, but was basically a spare car order) that they were going to sell on but Audi cancelled the order for the dealership.

Bexley Audi have a Turbo Blue car which they have already registered for 'overs'. My wife does not like it due to the black wheels .....

He did offer me the turbo blue Frankenstein car that they have at 61k but it’s the same spec as the Oldham one I could’ve bought in October at 54k

One thing I forgot to mention.

The salesman at one point in the convo, tried to emphasise the price hike that comes in tomorrow (lol) as a contributing factor to any RS3’s for sale now.

‘No you mean the one that came in on Dec 1st’ ? I pointed out, ‘err yes that’s it, did it’ ?

So any cars you are selling now were ordered in Dec ?

‘err well no, they were ordered months back or RS cars allocated to our dealer network as sweeteners, for when we meet targets’

Hmmmm maybe some flannel in that somewhere.

I complained to Audi UK about the delays and dealers selling cars like this and the answer was:

1. Audi UK do not have any control over what the dealers sell and prices.
2. Audi UK are only passing orders to the factory and importing the cars.
3. They do not have any influence over the dates, quantities or pricing at all.

Now I don’t believe most of this but the fact is I have no evidence to support my position.

Essentially they are saying they are just the messenger.

They seemed to initially but now it appears the interest has tapered off enough that folk are being stuck with them rather than being able to move them on for massive profit.
