Hi everyone. I purchased a BCS power valve exhaust a couple months back for my S3 that came with an adapter that fits in between the intake manifold and my MAP sensor. I cannot for the life of me remember what the thing is called. But it connects a hose to the boost take off valve on my exhaust.

long story short, I believe I stripped the threads and I could no longer get the screw in unless I screwed it without the supplied washer. This has caused me problems before and I think air is leaking in between this not so perfect fit.

So my question, is the MAP sensor needed for this valve to work correctly?? Or was it just used because there’s already an available hole where the MAP sensor goes making it an easy plug and play install.

Can I just tap into the extra nipple with a boost tap and connect the hose to that, so that I can remove that adapter under the MAP sensor that’s causing me problems.
