Handbrake switch.

My A3 2008 handbrake light stays on?
Mechanic said its the switch underneath it. Does anyone know the part I need?
I have tried to look under console, but needs removing
Have looked on eBay can see handbrake but don't know what switch.
Would be extremely grateful
