Hi guys,
New member, often lurk around here for the car advice and wondered if you could help...
today, I filled up on fuel and as I turned the corner out of the station the oil pressure warning light flicked on, then almost immediately off. I pulled over, turned the engine off and waited 10-15 mins, turned it back over, engine sounded sweet, no rattle, idles at around 800 revs, stood and the next set of lights and it flashed on again, I could hear the engine ticking over very quietly and it sounded sweet, pulled over and waited 20 mins then drove home. It came on again for 50 seconds (I filmed this), then went off without returning for the remaining 5 min drive, due to the heat I couldn’t seem to get the oil cool enough to check oil level. The light seemed to come on when the car was uneven (on an incline or decline or turning into a corner).
Any advice other than “don’t drive it”, any help or experience greatly appreciated; the car is 105k miles deep and a very nice little runner, feel like the heat has a role to play in this!
