Service warning / performance limited ?

If the 'service' warning is showing, is the performance
altered , as in limp mode etc, or just there as a
info flag ?

it just reminds you that the service is due thats all.

limp mode would be a different issue. I had the service light on a month or two back didnt affect performance.

It went from service due in 1300 miles to , due now in 2 weeks, when started using again for work
something must of noticed it was being ''used ) after the fortnight shopping trip ..
just wondered how smart it actually 'is .....cleared now
