Facelift Knee airbag cover removal/refitting rattle

Hi All,

I’m getting on just fine with my new 8V S3 that I picked up last November, however it does have an annoying rattle. My car is a November 2016 facelift model.

Research on here suggests it’s the trim surrounding the headlight switch which is actually a knee airbag I think?! I can’t find any guides or suggestions for how I can refit this cover to stop the rattling. It’s a common fault and my car isn’t under warranty any more. If I apply pressure to the knee/airbag cover whilst it’s creaking, I can get the noise to stop.

Does anyone have any removal or tips to stop it creaking?

Hello again peeps, I’m still getting this annoying rattle from the panel surrounding the headlight switch.

Can anyone give me any tips on how to remove the panel to hopefully stop the rattle? Apparently it’s quite common but I’ve googled and searched this site lots and whilst people talk about it - nobody has said how this panel is removed.

Any help is appreciated - cheers.
