Outside Temp on dash?

Reading my manual last night says I should possibly have the outside temp displayed on my dash, I have nothing once the OK sign goes out.
2001 A3 TDI Sport. Should I have it & if so where has it gone?

Do you have a trip computer in your A3.

Nope, fraid not. But manual did say standard somethingorother and the next page refered to all the DIS functions (which I know I dont have)

I think you have answered your own question in the end. lol

I don't think you will be able to view the temp.

My advice would be to stick your hand out the window and have a guess!!
