a3 1.8t ecu upgrade

hi all, im new to this site and would like some info on tunning my 51 plate a3 turbo. i've been told that i can have a 225 tt ecu fitted which will give me the same bhp as the tt. is this true and are any set backs?

It's not a different ECU that you need, it's a different ECU map which will provide the extra power and torque.

Do a search I'm sure you'll find lots of information.

I think you're going to need more than just a ECU remap to get 225bhp from a standard 1.8t 150bhp. Depending on whether it's a drive-by-wire (DBW) or not I think the maximum you are likely to get with a remap alone is around 190-200bhp.

51 plate will have the K03s, so possibly a shade over 200Bhp but it wouldn't be able to sustain that for long.
