I've had quotes on getting my 19's repaired (lacquer chipped and one curb rash) £100 per wheel. Still cheaper than buying aftermarket alloys I think?
Why not get yours repaired or are they that bad? . If it was me I would stay oem. but it's your car mate go with what pleases you.

Iv had aftermarket for 5 years now just fancy a change but could get mine refurb always liked BBS .

In that case go for the OEM plus in your second pic. Show us the pics when you finally decide.

I’m debating what wheels I’m going to get as my OEM wheels are f**ked now really. Bola do some good ones.

BBS make excellent alloy rims, but you get what you pay for. Their forged and performance rims are as good or better than Audi OEM rims. Audi do not make alloy rims they are farmed off to manufacturers of rims. Racing cars use those same manufacturers and utilise the top of the line forged rims

That's why I like the Brand German cars & BBS go hand in hand .

Aftermarket wheels will cost around 4x that.

Just realised how much more expensive OZ wheels are compared to many others!
£1600ish for 4 Oz £700ish for something like Bola.
Does make you wonder if getting your own refurbed is worth doing. I got quoted just under £600 to have mine refurbed. Mine are the diamond cut 5 spoke RS3 wheels.

I’ll be getting new wheels and leaving my OEM wheels for winter wheels/spares. OZ wheels is an option but I also like Revo’s wheels as well.

I quite like them, sort of like a squared off version of their CH-R designs, which are lovely wheels. These are a new design this year, so have been waiting to see them on an S3. You think you'll get them?

£100?! Oh god! Not looking forward to my quote then! Got a lot of curbing AND they need painting.

I think the OZ Indy would suit the car very well, but again not seen them on one yet. Not that much of a change from the OEM design really, just a different wide double spoke, so should look very nice.

I actually really like the stock rims and thought about getting the 19" from the saloon, as that's a nice subtle mod that looks good on the hatch/SB. They're well expensive though! You could get a set of something exotic and fully forged for the same money. Crazy...

I'm getting mine fully refurbished whilst I decide what to get. I think it's something like £139/wheel + £20 extra for the correct Audi colour match. Sounds a lot, but that's a full strip to bare metal job.

The split 5 spokes on the S3 from around 2016 models are one of my favourite wheels. When a guy at worked turned up with his when he bought it, it was love at first sight for me.

Yeah Mine are diamond cut 19" S3 saloon wheels. I could get them done at my workplace, put them on a cnc lathe and skim the face.........But....... For £100 per wheel it is much less hassle as there is no way I could do them in the same time as a specialist who have the machines all set up to do them.
I will probably wait until I can't stand the sight of the lacquer peeling then get them done. Given the prices you have quoted for replacements having your own redone is a 'no brainer'

I've not looked at an actual quote yet (waiting for payday!) I'm a newbie when it comes to paint tbh

Once they are on the fixture the process is quite simple here is a video of what's involved in facing them on a cnc lathe....
Where a lot of the cost is mounted up is the prep ie straightening filling in the deep marks and powder coating before machining then last thing is a couple of coats of lacquer.

Mine are corroded. They've gone a bit bubbly looking. Pretty grim for 4 years old!

Moisture under the lacquer..I've seen info on people papering them and then polishing and then spray lacquer back on....haven't attempted it lol
Give it a go

I had a small attempt at this on mine and it actually worked but I didn’t take my time so it’s worth a go.

As long as the clear coat isn't chipped or damaged in any way, they're covered under the 12 year paint warranty. I had both my rears swapped for this when mine was 5 years old, small bubbling on the polished front edges here and there. This is how I know how much a new set cost

I called Audi UK, after initially being told I needed to buy new ones. After having them checked multiple times they swapped them out for me under warranty.

Worth a try.

...they also checked I hadn't had them refurbished when they transferred the tyres across.

Interesting. Might give them a call

I have the BBS XA’s as winter wheels on my other motor. If you go for them the wheel bolds are lost in the rim.

I agree with you on the ABS for german cars ... & scotsman is correct Audi dont make their own . I think you will be pleased with the ABS why not try before you buy on a wheel checker site .
