Boot opening button

I have a 2006 A4 , on the remote contol does the boot opening button actually do anything .As i have tryed using every combination and it is still locked . The two other buttons work ok for locking and unlocking the doors .Has this happened to anyone else .

You need to press and hold the boot button for a good 3+ seconds for it to do anything. Even then mine sometimes needs two goes for the boot to pop.

I also have the same problem with the window opening/closure from the remote.

The remote boot on the A4 is next to useless, it doesn't even open all the way up although this is now an option on the B7, just open it with the handle.
