Hi all,

Already done a search for this but only found results related to beemers :/

Is there any proven risk of installing an oil based panel filter instead of the current paper one in relation to MAF issues?

Would hate to have an issue especially since I’m still in warranty period.

Cheers in advance.

lol based panel filter, lol. Just buy a non oil based one and then you won’t need to worry about MAF issues, Ramair do one and no doubt other manufacturers do as well.

Oiled filters only cause problems when they are over oiled after a clean. Some are just too liberal with the oil after a clean.
I’ve ran oiled panel filters and induction kits in other cars I’ve owned for years and they never gave me any problems with MAF and other stuff.
I would say if you are that worried just replace it every 20-30k instead of cleaning and oiling it. They won’t be over oiled out the factory. Manufacturers are too tight

Waste of money. Ferrari use paper ones :glee:
