hello, i'm new to this board and to audis. i bought a 99 a4 quattro 2.8 with a 5 speed. so far i love it. i was wondering how to find out exactly what options it came with and were to locate the option codes. also what is the difference between the 99 and 99.5 i see everywhere. thanks.

one difference between the 99 and the 99.5 that i know of is that the 99.5(which i also have) the headlights are one piece unlike the pre-99 are 2 piences. Besides that i have no idea
The dimensions are different, they got wider bumpers and differnt lower door trims, washer jets are hidden too.
On the pre-facelift model, the washer jets are in the middle of the top-side of the bonnet - ie, plainly visible.
On the facelift model they are tucked just under the trailing edge of the bonnet - ie, hidden

The easiest way of distinguishing a post-facelift 99 model from a pre- one is the headlights. The headlights & indicators form a single assembly. On the pre-facelift models, they are separate.
I'm sure I posted the Audi press release, detailing all the differences between pre and post-facelift cars.
