Hello everyone from a long term lurker.

Decided to say hi now as I am pretty much set that my next car will be an Audi. Over the past 20 years of driving, I have owned about 16 different cars, with the only previous german car being a Seat Cupra R 225bhp which was fun to drive, although I didnt get to keep it for too long due to the boss of the house getting upset constantly about it. I also have the pleasure of being able to drive at high speeds on my daily job so I tend to drive my own cars quite sedately as I get my speed fix legally at work.

I have worked on cars for years as a hobby, rebuilt more than I can remember, so I like my hands getting dirty.

Hi Sandra

Thank you - I am new to forums so this is a learning experience for me all on its own. I like the idea of the practicality of the A5/S5 sportback after spending time with saloon cars and feeling always frustrated at the solid parcel shelves. Used to enjoy hatchbacks before I had kids, so feel that the sportback will give me best of both worlds - practicality when needed, comfort and safety for the kids, plus a bit of enjoyment when alone down some nice B roads.

Sorry if I ask lots of silly questions. My knowledge of german cars is not great
