Rear demister

Mines never turned itself off... don't see why it should tbh. I wish just it or the front demister also turned on the heated mirrors instead of having to turn the dial on door...
Yer I would prefer it to go off after say 10 min or so that’s I’ve been used to in most of vw/Audi that I’ve owned
I’m just looking through the owners manual page 81 rear window heating and it’s saying it switches off after 10-20 min depending on what the temp outside is
Also this to switch the rear heating on permanent press and hold for two sec this will be stored for 15 min after the ig is switched off . ??

Mine turns off after a while. not sure how long but its defo around 15mins. That's in my Q2 and also my A3. Pretty sure it should turn itself off. would expect it too. Never had a car where it stays on.
