2008 2.7 TDI Le Mans timing belt or chain??

Hello
Can anybody clear something up for me
Looking to buy a 2008 2.7 TDI Le Mans A6 Avant and not sure if it’s a timing chain or timing belt?
If it’s a timing belt then I’ll get that replaced straight away or is it just a drive belt at the front for the fans?

Cheers mate, so am I right in thinking the belt at the front is just for the fans?

Main belt is for the water pump, alternator, PAS pump and air-con. There is also a belt for the high pressure fuel pump. No fans are powered off the belt.

Just keep an eye on it, there is no service schedule for the front belts

I thought poly v belt was about 100k. I just begrudgingly changed my belt as I wanted to change the tensioner but the belt looked in fantastic condition despite having done way way over 100k.
