Hi,

These seem to be a great upgrade to cars which don't have these already fitted!

Simply fix to the lower arms with "cable ties" (genuine Audi) and aid cooling to the braking system.

Great simple mod.......

Got any more pics of exactly where these are placed @T-800 Trying to figure out if I have them or not already on my car but need to understand where to look as I cant make out where they are situated ?!?!

They are just cable tied onto the front of the wishbone
I will attach pics of mine now. You can’t miss them if you look underneath the car from the front, no need to jack up.

Nice to see Audi technical boffs missed something like this out on the design and build stage yet sell it afterwards.

It was introduced at a certain build stage last year.

Other than that it is £29.

I find it quite funny that they have them cable tied on, obviously it does the job fine but when it was fitted at the factory it definitely looks like an after thought.

Clipped to both wishbones from the top Jim.

Cable tied from under to secure.

I’d wager yours will have em.
 
Thx @AudiNutta , @T-800 . Just got under mine and took a quick pic.... horrible weather today as well ! . Does not look like I have them ... grrrh

Interesting as I don't have these air guides in my front inner fender shown here in red.



As I look it up there is two versions of the front inner fender.
Cars built before/after 18/9-2017 have different ones as seen in the pic below:





Then it's a cheap and great upgrade to mount both the front inner fenders with air guides and the zip tied ones that this thread is about. If you don't have these from the factory.

Do you know whether or not the modified front inner fenders highlighted in red will for a PFL car?
 
I dont know if I am having a mad daft hour or not, but cant quite figure out where these are meant to be placed.

Car is jacked up...

This is the inside of my wheel arch UK drivers side... i have taken photo with front of brake disc on the left hand side of pic...



Where exactly do these get placed, ....orientation and where/what are they zipped to. Apologies if this is a daft question, ( I know it is ) but things just dont look right from where I am at present. So would rather make sure its done right than have to mess about.

Is this correct?

Locate top of the wishbone

See where the mag ride level sensor Is bolted to it ? That’s what the cut out is for in the plastic Jim

So get the plastic air guide and insert from the front of the car, making sure the cut out accommodates the sensor mechanism.
You then need to make sure the 3 cable ties aren’t trapped in anyway and make sure the 3rd cable tie goes thru the hole in the wishbone.

Once you’ve done this and are happy then gently push down and it’ll ‘clip’ onto the wish bone and you can then tighten up the ties and snip off the extra bit.

Ok thx, so I do have it in the correct place as mine is drivers side and is the ‘R’ labelled one... and the passenger side is the ‘ L’ designated one?

I fitted mine on Saturday and it took me ages to work it out aswell (about 25 minutes) so don't feel silly ha ha

When I took delivery (Oct) I noticed I didn't have any, pointed it out to my sales guy and told him it should - picked up a set a couple of days later. Installed myself.

Checked their demo car another time (few weeks after so still early) and that one had them. I just wonder if they were a post dealer check but they didn't fit or didnt know what they were

On a normal day to day drive... No, absolutely no noticable difference in my opinion.

Where the added air flow and cooling will add value would be on a very very spirited drive. Down an Alpine pass or during a full on track day for example.

However its a cheap addition to the car that brings it bang upto date with the latest version from the factory, its super easy to fit and can only be a good thing.
