TT 2009 lights

Hi there my brother in law has a 2009 tt, he went to use his car and as he started it up the car lights came on straight away without him turning them on, not sure if there is any sort of setting to stop this. would be grateful for any help

The other problem that he has is the adjustment on the dashbord light setting to dim or brighter that has stopped working i have checked all the fuses all seem fine. just looking for some ideas.

Check the rear connector of the light switch hasn't come of.
