Have you tried selecting “media” then “source” and changing from CD to aux? Forgive me if you have already, but took me a while to work that out!

Theres a volume level for aux separate could be thats down to 0 worth a shot

Finally found out that the previous owner fitted DAB and there is a 3.5mm jack plug on the passenger footwell for AUX as the original AUX socket has been used to connect the DAB !
Now I just need to work out how to use the DAB ‍
