a3, 2.0tdi 2006 stoped working on road and wont start, gas pedal not working,

hi guys,

My car stopped working on the road. Everything was fine and suddenly it stopped and wont start. Also gas pedal not working at all.
The fuel tank was almost empty, maybe it caused some problems.
A friend dragged the car and engine started, but sound of engine wasn't good and after I push clutch pedal, engine stop working.

I have changed fuel pump few months ago (4-5 months ago), can fuel pump broke again so fast?

Sounds like something major broke. If you are not good with mechanical things then a visit to a local garage is required.
