Gearbox Crunch

I have an A4 Avant 2.0tdi 170 with 6 speed box, yesterday when changing from 2nd to 3rd I got a single crunch which I felt through the gear stick, I was 100% sure it was not a lazy gear change then today I had exactly the same changing from 3rd to 4th.
Now it seems to do it just once a day shortly into the cars first journey and then not again all day.
Is this an early sign of bad things to come, had a new clutch and fly fitted in December and whilst at it I got them to change the gearbox oil, could it be a simple case of wrong oil or is my box on its way out!!

They said they were putting a thicker oil in lol I have no idea what!!

Just spoken to them, they put 75w 90 in my 6 speed box and said it was to allow for any wear over the years as the car done 110'000 miles?

Check what spec it is with dealer and TPS .

Could be G 052 911 which can be 75w90 or 75W-80 or..

G 052 171 which is a 70W75 !

What does it come up with here ?

Fuchs reccomends Titan Sintofluid 75w 80

Just an update on this, I ordered 4 litres of Fuchs Titan Sintofluid 75w 80 and spoke to the garage that did the clutch and gearbox oil change, they are going to remove the 75W 90 that they put in and refill with the Fuchs
Hopefully this will cure the occasional crunch and the hard to select gears

what is the correct grade then for manual 6 speed boxes on65k milage.

Grades are obsolete , it's manufacturers specs .

Sometimes an original spec found in the handbook is revised and superceded for a thinner one because of it's bulking of gear changes when cold ( thick viscosity ) .

I don't recall VAG ever supercededing going thicker .
