I've got this option on my A7 and it is brilliant. However, It must be possible for Audi to develop it further to provide additional capability, eg, like a 360deg dash cam or to record acts of vandalism, or bumps in car parks when car is left unoccupied etc. It could also use Audi connect to alert your smartphone of any incidents!

Are you talking about the C8 (new version) of the A7?
The previous C7 & C7.5 versions don’t have 360 camera option (only Front & Rear parking cams) due to the design of the side mirrors.
The A6 has the 360 option.
It’s a great idea though, and one provided by 3rd party dashcams (fronts & rear, but no side views)
