Should I upgrade alloy wheels and tyres from 16'' to 17'' ?

Karl , what's your long-term view of Asy2 Vs 3 , 2 are still selling probably because of the beefy rim protector, sometimes they're more £ than 3 .

Then we'll have your future MPS4 review .

Not sure why Assy 2 tyres are still available especially in that size as it's such a common tyre. On that Asda site it loooked like it may have been an OE spec Fiat tyre so that may be why they are still making them.

Asda?? mg they sellin tyres too ?? goosh .. just checked and they are even more expensive than halfords

It's called Asda tyres and they are obviously backed by Asda but you don't buy the tyres from the store or have them fitted there. The tyres are delivered to a fitter of your choice local to you and they are fitted there.

I had a look at Halfrauds site and the same tyre.

So I don't know what you were looking at but Asda tyres are cheaper for that tyre.

I don't want to tell them anything.. I already paying grand a year for this freakin insurance

no i don't want good year anymore they are not for speed but for safe drive ... I want Bridgestone They are for fast cars and speed
At Halfords they are cheaper but not to much...
Still deciding if should get 235's or 225's

Main thing u know .. U pathetic.. merry Christmas .

@Peto Pedro, mate, you come on here asking for advice then when advice is given you either ignore it or throw it back in the face of those who offer it. Not cool Pal.

Also, it's looks like you've altered @desertstorm post as I don't see his post stating 'obviously no idea what you're talking about'. Again, not cool.

If your post is an attempt at sarcasm then I'm sorry, it's lost on me.

Really don't understand your reaction.. what is your problem ?!?!?!
YES altered me?? or him ?? u know email will show original post ??? oh u probably don't know
please .. why protecting??? u not genuine as well !!!
thnx putting blame on me too .. merry christmas Jesus will judge you genuinely ...!!!
Really have no idea what I done !!!

I did originally write "LOL whatever you want to do then you obviously have no idea what your talking about." and thought that was a little harsh so I changed it within a minute or so. I
That was in response to the statement" I want Bridgestone They are for fast cars and speed "
And you linked to the Bridgestone S001, a quite useless tyre in comparison to something like a Goodyear Eagle Assy3 . Where did you get the idea that Bridgestone tyres are for fast cars or speed ? You've probably been watching to many need for speed films I think.

Understood, thanks for clarifying.

@Peto Pedro - I never saw the original post - I still don't think you need to call other members pathetic.

So I still think dat someone don't need to be know it all and saying I don't know what am talking about and rather say diplomatically recommendation don't you think? If bridesrtone manufacturers would see he bias them they would say the same .. as me ..

I changed my A3 from 16inch to 17inch because I wanted more grip, but I do fill you can over do it and go too big.
This is what I have used for the last 120,000 miles, its been fine for me, just what I had in mind 225/45/17
No grip problems at all now, if I'm honest it doesn't make much difference what tyres I use, as long as its not cheap and cheerful!
I will include a picture of the alloy.

Also I just bought a VW T5 campervan which has 275/40/20 which I think is just OTT.
I'm changing the alloys and tyres on the 28 Dec to 235/55/17.
Should be fine on that bus, for what I want!
