A quetion about B7 2.0tfsi exhaust pipes sections.

Ok then B7 2.0tfsi exhaust tubes , the down pipe from the cat that joins the middle silencer ,are the equal diameter pipes joined by butting the two together and with a clamp over or is the joint one section inside the other with a clamp over the two.
I need to get the cat off but cant break the flange joint between the cat and the downpipe , hoping to detach the downpipe and cat in one piece so wanted to be sure if its a butt joint or not, if not a butt joint i'll need to drop the whole lot .
Any thoughts chaps from those that have done similar .

yes thanks chap, I was looking at that earlier but it only shows a basic diagram and they can vary sometimes , I'm used to working on both but wanted to be clear on what the audi setup was before I decided on what route to go .
