Any suggestions on decent Gel 3d type reg plates - I see them around on eBay etc but so many options don't know what to look for in terms of quality etc..
Postcode? Never new that you needed to have a postcode on your plate.. as in your home postcode?£28-£30 ones on eBay are great, bought loads and my set have lasted through 3 cars and still look good. My criteria is the smallest postcode on the bottom as possible. Need a postcode to be legal.

Who did you use in the end to supply the plates?Got some new plates - anyone got any advice on whether its ok to use the provided sticky pads to secure the plates, will look nicer but not sure if I trust them, or should I drill out the holes and screw on?

Don't worry, after mine were on 2.5 years they didn't want to come off without a fight! http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/thread...to-your-8v-today.236518/page-160#post-3101495Got some new plates - anyone got any advice on whether its ok to use the provided sticky pads to secure the plates, will look nicer but not sure if I trust them, or should I drill out the holes and screw on?

The thing I am most worried about is getting them level which seems easier with screws?
Dead easy mate, put a bit of tape running down from the centre of the Audi rings to where the plates will sit, then measure to the centre of the plates and put another bit of tape on them. Then just line the two pieces of tape up and you know that you are central! As for the horizontal level, before you take the old ones off (if they are level) just put a piece of masking tape along the bottom on the paintwork as your guide or just use your eyes/judgementThe thing I am most worried about is getting them level which seems easier with screws?
