i am after the same segment RS6 style wheels i have on my black edition A4 B8.5 but if I'm right the Audi a5 ones are ET33 and 9 wide with equates to 16 mm spacer, would thins work, one seen people running spacers,

Any pics would be great

I have been researching the exact same thing today!

Thanks for that, in theory it should be perfect but then got to be carful how low we go

ET33 looks perfect to me. Ive heard people changing from 255/35 to 245/35 to prevent rubbing. Or 235/35 if you go low. Im sure 245/35 works well with H&R Sport springs

I will be using eibach pro sport 30/35 mm I think and another member showed me how low his was and it looked ok, 235 would bring tyre price down some, just worreies about the amount of stretch and would expose the edge of alloy

I run 9x20 et40 front & et 35 rear on mine with 245/30/20 which gives the same rolling radius as the standard 18's with 245/40/18. A 245 on my 20's give a fair bit of stretch & I'm lowered 50mm on coilovers.

Checked a couple of threads and they are 8.5s

I'd agree with with what you've heard as mine are a baw hair off the arches

Cool. Id definitely need at least 245 with the 9's then. After your use of the term bawhair i checked your profile and seen your East Lothian. Scottish loyal

I thought I have seen people running 15mm spacers, that would be the same as the 9J ET33 so do they run with standard tyres

Its not the spacing thats the issue. Its the width of the alloy. For talking sake, say you have 8inch alloys at ET48 15mm spaced to ET33. And 9 inch alloys at ET33. The 9 inch alloys will sit futher towards the inside compared to the 8s

I understand that but we are only talking 6mm so can't see that making a difference,

I might try to find someone with some A5 alloys to try on my car and see

Theres quite a few threads on Audizine about people questioning and running the S5 peelers

The 9's will poke on the front I tried my wheels which are et 35 & they stuck out past the arch.

I have a5 sline's on mine to clear the brakes
8.5" wide
Et29
Backs are perfect
The front stick out by about 5mm i would say.

I plan on using 235/45/18 next time on the fronts

I've recently fitted a set of S5 five arm twin spoke alloys on my S4 Avant. The wheels are 19x8.5 ET 33 with 255/35 R19 and I've not noticed any rubbing so far, this is with stock suspension. I think the wider offset looks great on the S4 as it give it just that little bit of wider stance with a bit of a concave and fills the arches nicely.

Any chance of a picture,

So only like running 10mm spacers because 8.5 width is standard it's extra from the 9J that might cause a problem

Same as above with 40mm H&Rs

So the ET 33 looks great if you can get 8.5 width, just didint want to run spacers that's all, I just like the factory wheels shame the A5 ones are 9J

Yeh that pic shows how close they sit on 8.5s so I'd say 9s would deff be a no go

Can you get 8.5 reps in the style your after or would you only go oem

Edit: tried editing several times bit i cant seem to get the quality of the pictures better. Size of the image is the issue

They will fit I just think the lowest you can go is 15-25mm on eibachs or H&R

Diff wheels but same 19x9 ET33

19x9 ET33

Thanks, I'm fitting eibach pro sport springs so won't be the same drop as some of them pics, I still need it usable as we go camping etc, I have got someone who has a set of A5 alloys for me to try, can't wait to lower it and get that extra width

Whenever I find funds im going for it. I think it looks great!
