Number Plates

Hi all,
I have a private reg and on my current vehicle I have a small rear plate which will be fine on the Audi again, but I had to have a normal sized front as the holder etc was tricky.
What is it like on the a4 can I get a short front one made up to fit.. what's the factory holder like?

There isn't a factory holder, the blank space on the grille is standard number plate size.

do you think a short plate with the black ends will look funny, has anyone done this before, or am i best sticking with a normal sized front plate?

Personal choice really, I'm not a fan of small plates, I think they look chavvy, but that's just my opinion.

tried this and it lasted on the car for about an hour, it just did not look right. I thought about covering ends with black or carbon film but dismissed idea and put on a full plate.

I think I'm showing my age haha, on my current car I can get away with it being a sporty hatch, maybe its now time to be a bit more sophisticated aye!

Agreed, standard plates ftw. Anything other than looks chavtastic imo.
