Hey guys,
So i'm sure someone here has seen this before, basically noticed my coolant was a bit low a few weeks after having a service, assumed a blow Head gasket and checked the oil cap.. and its got some white gunk on it, so car gets put up on stands so we can start getting the head off for checks. Than this little gem showed up.
This is off the hose that goes down to the crankcase breather box, the whole pipe feel to pieces in my hand and had all this white gunk. The oil in the sump is perfectly clean and the low coolant is actually from the T join on the right side of the engine looks like its got a leak so will need to find that part number and replace that.
so anyways my questions for the guys. Do I need to replace the whole box as it looks like a mission to get it off the block or would cleaning out the gunk I can reach and fitting a new pipe sort it out, turns out after a pressure test the gasket is fine.
Item A. that gunk is not from the "inlet?" breather pipe on the right, it came out the pipe on the left and went everywhere.
