b5 1.8t coming off part throttle compressor surge

when driving gently through the revs the car seems to boost up too much on gentle part throttle and coming off the pedal its jerks a bit i believe from compressor surge. car feels great at wot though.

if it was compressor surge you'd hear it.

You sure its not just knackered engine mounts or something?

it you can feel its boosting too much on really light throttle.

what does the boost guage say?

i believe it was at 5psi. shouldn't it be up to 0 if just light driving?

depends on various factors, it doesnt take much throttle to get into positive boost, especially if your building up speed onto a faster road or similar.

Mine did this when the hose to the dv perished, worth checking as only takes a few mins and mine was so brittle you could snap it.

yeah had a split on the turbo to n75 valve. but it seemed so responsive this way just that coming off boost was bad haha
