Lads I've had a code come up yesterday evening on my 2003 2.4 it's a p0431 warm up catalyst below threshold bank 2?
Any idea?
I'm hoping it's just a o2 sensor but which one would that be.

Thanks

Cylinder 1,2,3 is bank 1 (drivers side),cylinder 4,5,6 is bank 2.

Are there a before and after cat o2 sensor?

If so what one is likely to be if it is just a sensor.

Thanks

Yeah two sensors, one pre cat and one post cat. Pre cat checks the fuel mix, post cat checks the cat is working, so it's the post cat on the passenger side.

Yes it's a pattern part but it has two year warranty, that's all the warranty you would get from buying from Audi for an exorbitant price.

Top man is it a common fault on these a4's?

Could happen to any car at any time if you consider the temperatures they have to endure although it's probably the original sensor and you have to consider the age and mileage of the car.

OH I FORGOT, welcome to the forum. :)
