Bedding in pads

Ive fitted some new front Discs and Pads today and was wondering do these bed in quicker with the grooves.

Im thinking about changing the colour of the calipers,has anyone got any pics of theirs painted?

Not the same caliper, but I painted my standard calipers black and put the caliper decals on, used Hammerite smooth, has lasted very well and really finishes the look...
