A3 2007 - Steering Wheel Warning Light

Just a little back ground... my 2007 a3 wouldn't start, had a battery charger pack on it and started. The mechanic checked the alternator was ok and charging which it was but i decided on a new battery anyway.

when driving to the local car store (4 mile away) the steering wheel warning light was on and steering was light compared to normal, after changing the battery it has stayed on.

I've drove twice both over 5 miles each and stayed the warning light has stayed on.... any ideas?

With engine running steer full lock to the left, hold it for 5 seconds, then full lock to the right, again 5 secs, and then wheels straight. If that doesnt help youll need to adapt g85 with vcds I reckon

Hey Oswald,

I've just tried that to no luck unfortunately, was hoping for a quick fix like that.

Looks like I need to get it hooked up and see what codes are coming up
