iPod/iPhone 7 music playback wlan?

i am having problems connecting to the wlan aspect of the car. The car has a password but my iPhone keeps saying it's wrong. I've bought a plug in for the glove box but all this does is charge my phone? Thanks in advance.

I use bluetooth.... the controls and everything work fine

Phone works fine but for some reason it's not picking phone up to play music

Weird. I just select the phone name in the Media selection screen and it auto plays.

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you cannot play audio/video over the WLAN.

The WLAN is designed to provide an internet hotspot to devices in the car (using the cars SIM card), not connect devices to the MMI for playback etc.

MMI playback is via bluetooth, or if you plug your device into the USB port, using it as a connected media device.
