Alarm Siren Location on 2005 A3 8p1

My alarm siren has died. Friend's Vagcom says:
01134 - Alarm Horn (H12): No Signal/Communication

Issue is where the hell is it?

I have checked the rear boot trim, behind the bose sub. Nothing there.

From a quick forum search it may be located under the "drivers side wing". Is this under the right side fender behind the wheel arch?

Anyone have ideas? Possible want confirmation before I go investing in a hydraulic jack, axle stands and wheel ramps.

Any help is well appreciated!

It is located under the cover for the front wipers. At my LHD it is at the passenger side (so the right side). No idea if it is at the other side with a RHD.

Thanks Chielvb. That area is easy enough to get to. I'll give it a look when I get my car back from a brake service.

If anybody wants info, got help from a garage that has EMIS access.
The siren is located under the drivers side (rhs) wheel arch.
Installed in a protective housing attached with a shear bolt.

Once you get the shear bolt out, fixing should be straightforward.

Don't have the tools for this so will have to get a garage to sort it out for me.
