170 tuning Box or remap?

I have had two cars with boxes and this current one remapped. One box was so called "quality" box and one el-cheapo. Actually the cheapo was better.
With this knowledge I now have I would go for remap. Save a little longer and a remap definately.
The quality box made my Jetta TDI PowerDiesel not very nice to drive. Very hasty, how do you say it... The cheapo was better, but did not deliver what it was supposed to. Not as much power.

Had a tuning box on my old bora and it made it feel much better but I want to take a lot of care with this car as it's only got 31k on the clock so I think a remap is on the cards. Just sometimes catchest me out if rolling out of a junction in second and I put my foot to the floor and there's nothing until it climbs the revs a bit which I don't like! Would prefer a bit more power at lower revs.
